Fish Out of Water is a unique adventure game that plays like an arcade game. You control a squad of adventurous fish. You throw them in the air so they can skip across the ocean, trying to get the furthest distance and the most skips on the surface of the water.
Your fishy pals will fly in the air, trying to get as far as they can before splashing down. Success is a function of your launching skills, your ability to take advantage of the unique flight characteristics of each fish and your ability to generate many skips on impact with the water.
There are lots of different fish in the game and they all move in a different way. Some are designed for long distance flying while some respond differently when they hit the water.
You can launch a fish with a simple swipe, but for great results it takes precise time and solid judgment. You just swipe your finger across the screen to launch a fish. Where, and how hard, you flick the fish off to begin its flight.
Before you launch, make a mental note of the direction and trajectory you want the fish to go.

Learn the basic behavior of each fish and then focus extensively on high scoring. The more you know about your characters, the better foundation you’ll have to improve your performance.
Pay special attention to your first swipe! The first launch has a massive impact on the remainder of the try, so take a minute to think about your intended flight path before releasing the fish.
Try different angles of swipe. Different angles can make a big difference in distance and fish landing position. Experiment with different things until you find the moves that work best for you.
Don’t just think about max launch distance. A successful run also hinges on what happens once the fish gets to the ocean. Instead of just trying to toss it as far as possible on the first try , try to design a flight path that allows for several bounces.
Learn from your mistakes. If you have a fish that comes in too soon or doesn’t bounce properly, try changing your next sweep instead of doing the same thing again.
You can replay levels and challenges to increase your rating. The more you play the better you’ll get to know the physics and the distinctive behavior of each character.
Focus on combos. See if you can build reliable combos. Distance combined with good bounces can help you get better overall performances.
