Cursed Gift is a tactical action game where you play as Owen, a necromancer returned from the dead by the Grim Reaper. Fanatical cults and possessed monsters run wild and the realm is in turmoil. To recapture the country you must raise an army of the undead, defeat your foes, and slowly discover the power of necromantic magic.
You can also raise fallen adversaries as allies instead of fighting them alone. In conflicts, skeletons, zombies and mighty undead mages will become auxiliary forces. Each sort of unit has a specific duty, so picking the correct units and giving them orders at the right time will have a big impact on the outcome.
Cursed Gift blends role-playing action with real-time army control. You order Owen across the map, employ skills, and send gangs of undead to attack targets directly. You can add additional troops to your formation to make them stronger when you defeat opponents.
The difficulty of assignments will steadily grow over your adventure, and foes will become more hazardous. You need to find skill pages to gain new skills, collect items, and use potions when needed. And as you grow out of your character, at the same time you're building your army, you may do each battle differently.
Move Owen with W, A, S, and D. Left-click to select a group of troops; click and drag to select numerous groups at once. Right-click to sort the chosen units. The Q, E, R, F keys are used to activate skills, and C opens the potion selection panel. Press Esc to stop.
Control your character to dodge danger and command your troops to assault. When you are fighting a large group of foes it is best to choose several units at once and give them the same commands rather than letting each group battle on its own.
Revive fallen enemy: After battle, revive appropriate adversaries to replenish your unit numbers.
Don’t let groups of troops get too far apart and picked off one at a time. Stay tight in formation.
Mix the undead: Create a versatile configuration of diverse units.
Collect skill pages: Unlock new skills through exploring the map and post-match goodies.
Use skills when needed: Save your good skills for when you are in peril or for significant conflicts.
